Discord has a rich history of having bots that play music. Some of those bots, have been shut down due to using YouTube as an audio source when they're not supposed to be doing so.

For the first time ever, we've secured a partnership directly with YouTube that will allow us to pipe any music you enjoy straight from YouTube music to a voice channel.

We were lucky enough to have some contacts through google due to us hosting all our services at their cloud provider, GCP. A guy knew a guy, and next thing you know, we're having a meeting with Neal Mohan and he's talking about how we can work together.

Now we need YOUR help! This early beta will set the tone on whether or not they continue to work with us, as they want to gauge interest and see what type of music you like to listen to. They've given us their full music library to access, including other non-music YouTube videos. WE NEED YOU TO GO TO A SERVER WHERE DANK MEMER ISNT ALREADY PLAYING AND PLAY ALL YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC, TODAY!

We have to convince them to let us continue piping their music to Discord, and we'll make it worth your while!

1. Be in a voice channel that Dank Memer has perms to connect and speak in
2. Run /youtube as a command an in the "play" option, use the name of your favorite music!
3. Profit!

Just please note, the bot can only pipe music in one channel at a time per server, so if all your favorite servers are busy try it in your own private server!

Even if all your do is grind and you don't care about music, you do NOT want to miss this opportunity! If all goes well, we think it's very likely that YouTube invests a majority stake in Dank Memer, and then we'll quickly become one of the largest games/music sources in the world, let alone on Discord.
