One consistent feedback point we've gotten since 2022 is that servers feel less "alive" due to multiple changes like slash and market, especially since the removal of random events that could spawn while grinding. Today, we start to fix that!

We are going to consistently spend time adding new events for servers that are focused on having fun and increasing server engagement, especially in small servers.

To start, we've got "Mythical Fish" spawns. We've got at least 10 more events planned for development that we'll be working on and releasing in the near future.

In your server dashboard head to settings -> random events to set up random event specific settings. To start, set an announcement channel in your server to let people know when mythical fish spawn!

And finally, when there is an event ongoing in your server... You'll be eligible for discovery.

With this update we're launching a baseline MVP for server discovery, to help empower users to find Dank Servers to grind in.

As the server manager, head to the dashboard, and to settings -> discovery. You must set a valid PERMANANT invite url and a description, and toggle discoverable to be true.

FOR NOW, this means when the mythical fishing event starts in your server, your server will show up on our discovery page and have a small chance to show up after people finish their freemium redemptions.

In the future, more events will mean you show up more often. Also, we're exploring new ways to get on discovery past a random event happening. Stay tuned to future updates!
