Welcome to Pixel Progression #18!

With the level of ADHD I'm operating at, I never expected to go 18 weeks without missing any. Hell yeah. Lets get into it.

Rumble Royale

Rumble Partner Banner @85%

For a while now we've been talking to the developers of Rumble Royale behind the scenes. We have a lot of community overlap, and their bot is one big and INCREDIBLY fun server event. We love it!

Naturally, we decided to reach out and get working on a partnership.

We aren't ready to talk details yet, but development is actively ongoing on both sides and we expect this to be coming very soon!

Item Types

For literal years, we've been working with some outdated and VERY often confusing item types. Things like sellable and collectible make sense, you can sell them or collectible.

But things like tool, powerup? Why are they interchangeable sometimes? What are the rules? What's being powered up?

Well in an upcoming release, we did some backend refactoring of items and we decided to overhaul this naming/categorization convention. These should be easier for us to categorize and easier for players to understand.

New Item Type List:

Collectible - Items that are collected and have no functionality
- Blob, NPC Items, etc
Trinket - Items that have some functionality for fun, (no buff, debuff, or blocking access)
- Anything that changes embed colors, etc
Sellable - Items that are meant to be sold to the shop, affected by coin multi when sold
- Bugs, animals, etc
Equipment - Items that give you access to other systems
- Hunting rifle, rusty machine, etc
Buff - Items that buff you
- D20, Alcohol, etc
Debuff - Items that debuff other people
- Voodoo doll, fart bottles, etc
Lootbox - Things to be opened that involved chances/odds
Pack - Things to be opened that have static rewards

When this change goes live, we'll give more information about what is changing in more fine detail in accordance to gameplay systems and tie ins with item types.

Net Worth Overhaul

Because I have so much to write about this, I'm going to be making a separate article about net worth.

We'll cover the history of net worth, where it went wrong, where it went right, and what we're experimenting with going forward.

Please do not interact with feedback on this until you've read the post that goes into great detail about our plans and why it will be happening in the first place. It's a big change for long term game health.

As a reminder, there will be a free to play guidebook skin coming within the month of May, for those looking to complete that skill challenge. Sneak peeks of it soon in DMC!

Player Support

This is to give information on ongoing known issues or common points of confusion.

Upcoming Hotfix

We will be, in the next week, releasing a hotfix/balance update that fixes multiple bugs and brings more balance changes to the economy at a whole. There is no date set in stone yet, and it may or may not be included with a feature update (fight frames).

Known Issues

These are issues we know about, and don't need reported right now.
