Welcome to Pixel Progression #22!

Lets start off with an important announcement.

This started as a weekly post because we were doing short bursts of small updates, and it worked really well for that.

However, for the next few months there will be less frequent updates but with larger amounts of changes in those updates. Big features that take time are being worked on, rather than small incremental changes. It's hard to week after week just say "yeah we're still working on that thing, more info soon".

Due to this, until further notice, Pixel Progression will be going to a monthly schedule, on the first Wednesday of every month. We'll re-access how this is working after a month or two.

In addition, the pixel showcase will change accordingly. We'll pick (starting next month) a minimum of 3 winners, and depending on content posted, a max of up to 5.

The key event is still slated for this month, near the end. At this point we're MOSTLY just writing riddles and implementing ways to check for them being completed, which is time consuming but not difficult work.

There will be a blog post about the key event shortly before it goes live, explaining how this global event will work.

Lets get a few absolutes out of the way:

• The collector badge change is necessary
• It was not planned when we implemented the reset functionality
• 40 people globally reset their bundles
• We do not know if you had the badge, or how many bundles you had done, when you reset

So we realize this is unfortunate for those of you who DID lose the badge, but I hope you can understand why there's nothing we can do here to give you the badge.

As a bit of a gift for you 40 people, sometime in the next few days you'll get 50m coins + 3500 gems.

A few other things after this update that have been talked about that I'd like to say something about:

• Everyone's net was hit, not just yours. Because it was everyone, and because net worth is nothing more than a stat, your gameplay and REAL worth was not hurt at all.
• Badges getting harder, such as the net worth, are intended. Since the badge requirements were implemented, globally, everyone is much coin and item richer than before the badge requirements. It is not intended for this badge to be easy to get.
• Leveling is not meant to be sprinted. If you CAN sprint it we don't fault you for doing so, but we're not going to pretend its a feature we purposely want.
• Spamming commands for levels is not what we want for this game, and will continue to have updates that move away from this meta, as seen over the last month.
• The fishing knowledgebase is just one step in many we're taking to make things more transparent without relying on randoms in DMC or third party wiki sites.

This is to give information on ongoing known issues or common points of confusion.
