Pixel Progression #27

Welcome to Pixel Progression #27!

October was an action packed month of updates and new content. Hopefully you got to participate where you had free time!

Congrats to:

• Fighthub
• Chad Dankers
• Heist Circle
• Ultimate Dankers
• The Gambler's Kingdom

For being the top 5 servers for the Halloween trick or treat competition AFTER filtering out likely alts.

We will DM the owners of these servers with instructions for their prizes!

Also congrats to "Dank Amigos ♥" for being the server with the most accounts filtered out for being likely alts... LOL We've got a prize for you too, for the luls.

• After a few days of ongoing DDoS attacks, we've put them to bed and have been steady.
• Freemium streak loss was re-enabled last night as promised, after over 12 hours of the site being fully back online without interruption.

Some of you who are more upset with the site being down might be happy to know, we didn't give in to the DDoSing group trying to get reactions out of us, nor did we even give them a chance to demand compensation or otherwise.

We banned them on sight in our servers with no extra communication, and shut down their attempts programmatically. Don't pay bad people to stop doing bad things!

As you might know, there's been some GREEN background pages and some BLUE background pages on our site for a few months now.

The BLUE pages were rewritten in our new website codebase while the GREEN were legacy.

We're wrapping up the website rewrite, and it'll be released within the next week if not sooner. The only massive change at this point will be a very different looking store page, and no more green pages at all.

This rewrite allows faster development, better user experience upgrades, and an easy pathway to fixing bugs.

When the rewrite is live, we'll be running a new store special for the first time in a while, so keep an eye out!

After that INSANE month of updates, this month will be notably slower. There will still be updates, but nothing crazy like October.

One reason for this is, we've been grinding non-stop for about two months now and we need some time off (not vacation, just less work for a short time).

If you're reading this, head to this youtube video and say "womp womp". If you're not reading this, do not go do that.

Another reason is that we're improving more and more back end tooling to make development of new and old systems go smoother, which you've already seen a bit of lately.

You can always check our roadmap to see big picture things, but this month specifically I'm looking into the possibility of doing a few things:

• Leveling/prestige/omega overhaul (ask around in dmc for the plan, and give your thoughts! The plan is posted by Me (mel) in the suggestions channel.)
• Quality of life changes
• Premium perk improvements (primarily cosmetic, not "p2w" things)
• New non-currency commands (kill, roast, etc)
• New pet based features

What we choose isn't set in stone yet, so let us know what you look forward to if you want to help sway the outcome!

The planning for the new season will begin this month. What ideas do you have for the new season?

We're open to hearing them!

Hopefully your November stays a nice comfortable temperature and you are not at all dehydrated.

Me? I'm super hydrated. Diet coke counts right?
