The Classic Prefix Returns
In August of 2022 we moved to slash commands, along with many other bots. Since then, we've upgraded our infrastructure enough to support both slash commands and most commands being available with pls as a prefix.
Now, pls is back and ready to go!
A few important reminders:
- This technology to support both is new, and might have some bumps in the road
- We are unable to test this at scale before widely releasing it, there could be scale issues
- If our gateway needs restarted, pls commands could be down for up to an hour
Managing Permissions
You can easily manage which channels can use bot commands in our all new server dashboard.
Head to the server you manage and to the settings -> permissions. By default, this is sync'd with your discord integration perms for slash commands.
Anything you update here for commands will change it for both slash and pls permissions.
Quirks
- For both UX and technical reasons, not ALL commands are available in pls prefix format. You can quickly see which are by using
pls help
, we've added tags to show what can be used with pls and in DMs. - To know what arguments and subcommands you can use, you'll want to use
pls help <command name>
- Pls cannot be changed to another message content prefix at this time.
- There are aliases for some commands while using pls, such as
pls bal
. If you have recommendations for new aliases, please let us know on our subreddit.
