Beta Information

The second open beta period of our rewrite will go live (barring any unexpcted issues) on Monday June 20th, 2022.

We don't have a concrete time for that day, just whenever it's ready.

The length of the beta is yet to be decided, we'll likely let you know that day how long it'll be.

We will include a massive changelog for the beta bot around the time it goes live, detailing everything changed since the first beta.

Invite Beta Bot

Similar to last time, you must invite our dedicated beta bot in order to participate in your own servers. It is a completely separate bot and economy from the main production bot, and is only online during the beta.

Server pemissions

Since the last beta, Discord has released their own slash commands permission system, and it's actually pretty great. You can read more about it at the following link: https://discord.com/blog/slash-commands-permissions-discord-apps-bots

Prepare your client

Similar to last time, you need to make sure your Discord client is up to date to get the most out of slash commands. There have been a large number of UI and UX improvements to slash commands since the last beta, as well as bug fixes and mobile changes.

For the BEST experience with slash commands, we recommend using a desktop and using the Discord Canary Client which is Discord's version of a "beta" for new client features.

Expectations

There are a number of VERY large differences to the beta bot compared to even the last beta. We ask, as always, give changes a few days before providing feedback for us to hear and take action on.

One of those changes is that this time we're starting fresh. All your old BETA data has been wiped and everyone is starting as a new user. We want to see users climb the ladder as a new user for the first time (for many of you) in a long time. We'll have specific feedback on the poll for the new user experience in slash commands that we're eager to hear about.

Thank you

Thanks again for being willing to participate in our beta tests, the last one helped us fix HUNDREDS of bugs that could have made it to production. We'll have similar bug testing and rewards for finding bugs as last time. More info on the day of release!
