Robbing Balancing
- Increased the chance your pet will stop a rob by 0.5% per defense level
- Increased the cooldown for a victim being able to be robbed again to 30 minutes, up from 5 minutes
- Increased the minimum amount to be able to rob to 50k coins, up from 10k
- Reduced the chance to steal 70-100% of someone's pocket from 10% to 7%
- Reduced "a small portion" from ~28% of someone's wallet to ~25%, but increased the chance by 3%
- Increased "a tiny portion" from ~12% to ~15% of someone's wallet and the chance of this outcome by 5%
- Reduced the chance to fail stealing from 45% to 40%
- Users in their first 3 days of playing can no longer rob, or be robbed.
Our data shows, time and time again, that a large portion of new players are losing everything they own within 2-4 rob attempts and feeling demotivated to continue the game. This is being abused by groups of players to profit off of mass-robbing newer players who aren't really aware about robbing in the first place, which is NOT the intention of robbing. If conditions don't improve after this update, we'll be putting more development time into preventing people from escaping with rob winnings via alts/leaving servers and give a proper counter-robbing playstyle to encourage back and forth competition rather than a moment of losing everything.
Robbing Quality of Life
- Improved the text notifications around pls and disabled rob attempts
- Changed the notif type of broken padlock notifications from "item" to "robbing"
- Changed the notif type of passive mode notifications from "system" to "robbing"
- Added a notification when your pet successfully stops a rob attempt against you
- Added a message to the first time someone is robbed explaining how to avoid it in the future
- Added a tutorial on how to reduce your robbing losses
Misc
- Changed the notif type of premium weekly rewards from "system" to "store"
- Changed the notif type of premium welcome DMs from "system" to "store
- Changed the buffer time of your freemium is almost ready notif from 30s before to 15s before
- Added a "Sources" list when clicking items in the pet room decorator dashboard
- No we are not adding this to items or skins, this has to be manually mantained and there are over 600 items and skins with multiple sources each. It's a good idea, but not currently feasible.
