When we released the rewrite, we shipped an overhaul to our appeal system with it. Read on to discover all the information you'll need to successfully appeal any currency bans you may encounter, as well as some of the ban types.

We've given some clarity in previous blog posts regarding our set of bot rules and view our full list of rules.

When a user is banned from currency, the only commands they are blocked from are commands within our currency category. This is a change from our previous 'blacklist' punishment that would block the user from using the bot entirely. As such, we no longer identify moderation actions as blacklists, and will only refer to them as bans.

There are two types of bans that can happen:

• Automod triggered ban

  • failed captcha, internal metrics determined macro usage, etc (we aren't going to provide public insight on what triggers this)
  • Ban duration is usually a few hours to a few days depending on frequency, severity, and previous infractions
  • These ban appeals are almost ALWAYS denied simply due to their low durations

• Manually triggered ban

  • These bans are made by our Bot Admin team and occur when they find a user has broken our rules
  • Reports from other users, investigation of usage, and many other factors influence these ban types
  • Durations vary from 10 days to a permanent ban (9999 days/27 years LOL) depending on severity, and previous infractions

Our appeal system is designed to allow our Bot Admins to double check manual ban reasonings to see if we got something wrong. They give the user an avenue to state their case, and provide context that otherwise couldn't be conveyed.

Its also worth noting that for the duration of your ban, streaks and upkeep statuses DO NOT freeze (your daily resets, pet and marriage stats could decline, etc)

BEFORE YOU APPEAL you should take some time to procure the following:

• Any evidence that exonerates you from the ban reason you are accused of. This should be in the form of screenshots that are uploaded to https://imgur.com, or anywhere on Discord, and linked in your appeal.
• A statement that is clear, and to the point. Providing full context that surrounds the subject of the ban
  • We instantly deny appeals with "i didn't do dis", "i was set up", "F", "pls pls pls pls pls unban me pls pls" etc
  • We will instantly deny appeals that provide zero context to the actual subject of the ban as well

Our new appeal system only allows you ONE CHANCE to appeal successfully. You want a fast tracked and successful appeal? The best route is to be HONEST with us. You'll find 100s of users in our player base that have previously exploited, or broke other rules severely enough to requisite a permanent ban; playing the bot normally and having successfully appealed. That's because these users were honest in their appeals. They admitted fault, and provided sincerity in not breaking the rules again. There are definitely times where a banned user isn't guilty of a rule break they are accused of, and we discover that with the evidence we are provided by those users. However, we won't ban to begin with unless we are completely certain and have evidence indicating that a ban should be imposed. That said, honesty is the most important caveat to a successful appeal. Simply denying it, making excuses condoning it, or blaming one of your 9 [brothers or sisters or cousins or friends or cats spamming your keyboards] that live with you will result in a wasted appeal. Gather your thoughts, form a convincing appeal, pepper in any evidence you have, and send us something meaningful.

A note about server bans

We currently do not offer a way to appeal any user bans that happen within our Community or Support server. All the information above only applies to bot bans. If this changes in the future, we will update this area and provide direction on appealing those bans.
