Website Subscription Purchases
This article will cover FAQ and common issues with website purchases for our subscriptions.
FAQ
Q: "What payment methods do you support?"
A: We support most major credit cards, as well as google pay and apple pay. The cards supported are not managed by us. Read more here
Q: "How do I get a refund?"
A: Please refer to our refund policy for any and all questions regarding refund eligibility and how to initiate one.
Q: "How do I upgrade/downgrade my subscription?"
A: Visit the dashboard and you will be able to upgrade and downgrade your subscription. If for some reason that isn't working, you can email help@dankmemer.gg for more assistance.
Q: "Why can't I see how much I'll be charged when I go to upgrade/downgrade?"
A: Our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, does not give us the information on your charge. We simply tell them you want to upgrade and they handle it. The charge for an upgrade will be the cost of the new membership minus whatever they pro-rate your current subscription for. They will email you with your total when it's successful.
Q: "When does my upgrade/downgrade take place?"
A: If you upgrade, you are immediately charged and pro-rated. The perks and payment are instantly changed, but your weekly rewards will still be delivered on their regular schedule. You can check /premium status to see the next weekly reward delivery date and plan the best time to upgrade. If you downgrade, it happens at your next billing cycle.
Q: "How do I cancel my subscription?"
A: Visit the dashboard and you will be able to cancel your subscription. If for some reason that isn't working, you can email help@dankmemer.gg for more assistance. You can also do this through the email you got when you subscribed.
Q: "Can I gift a subscription to someone else?"
A: Not at this time. However it's a feature we plan on releasing in the near future after we've had time to make sure our initial product is stable and working for customers.
Q: "Can I move here as a Patreon member?"
A: Yes. At checkout there will be a checkbox acknowledging you will not receive any perks or refunds for your previous subscription if it is still active. It will overwrite your patreon info in our database.
Q: "How can I get the promotion advertised for 3 month subscribers on the store page? Does my patreon history count?"
A: That is for people who have paid for at least 3 months on our website store subscriptions. Patreon does not count, but being subscribed when our payment processor was stripe does count. Annual subs get this to you instantly as you're paying for at least 3 months.
Possible issues
Issue: "The bot says I haven't subscribed but I have!"
Resolution: Please wait up to 10 minutes for your subscription to activate. If it's been longer than 10 minutes, check your bank/paypal account to make sure the payment isn't still "pending". If it's been successfully paid and has been over 10 minutes and you're logged into the correct account, please contact us via email: billing@dankmemer.gg and give us 3-5 business days to respond.
Issue: "I bought this on the wrong Discord account!"
Resolution: Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this situation. Subscriptions are not transferable in any way, and this is also not covered for refunds by us. Please make sure you're logged into the correct Discord account before purchasing anything.
